Congratulations to Professor Jack Hamilton, who has received an Honorable Mention for the 2017 Woody Guthrie Award for outstanding music book of the year by the International Association for the Study of Popular Music. Professor Hamilton's book, Just around Midnight: Rock and Roll and the Racial Imagination, was published by Harvard University Press in 2016.
Professor Hamilton has also won a Seed Grant from the Whiting Foundation's Public Engagement Fellowship program.
